Increased expensing limits, bonus depreciation, special expensing election for restaurants and retail stores and the 100 percent exclusion of gain from small business stock were among the more than 50 expired tax provisions that were retroactively extended through 2014 by the "Tax Increase Prevention Act of 2014," which passed the Senate on December 16 and is on the way to the White House to be signed into law.
