New York — Senate Bill 4610, effective for tax years beginning on or after January 1, 2015, amends the New York City Administrative Code by enacting a new corporation tax statute that requires unqualified foreign corporations subject to the tax to file a Certificate of Designation with the Department of State appointing the Secretary of State as process agent for purposes of actions brought under the statute and providing an address to which the State is to forward process.
