West Virginia — Senate Bill 316, effective June 12, 2015, exempts veteran-owned businesses from initial formation fees and annual report fees for the first four years after registration.
Connecticut — House Bill 5489 (Laws of 2014), effective July 1, 2015, amends provisions regarding the administrative dissolution and revocation of corporations, LLCs, LPs and LLPs.
Mississippi — Senate Bill 2542, effective March 17, 2015, deletes the repeal clause on LLC fees, resulting in the LLC fees remaining at their current levels.
Oregon — House Bill 2328, effective March 12, 2015 provides that a party that is not a natural person (formerly, a corporation only) must appear in court proceedings by attorney unless otherwise specifically provided by law.
Utah — House Bill 57, effective May 12, 2015, amends the benefit corporation law to require the annual benefit report to be filed with the Division of Corporations and Commercial Code at the same time the corporation files its annual report with the Division.
Virginia — House Bill 1563, effective July 1, 2015, amends the entity laws regarding reservation of name and names used in formation, qualification or change of name filings.
Virginia — House Bill 1640, effective July 1, 2015, amends the prescribed contents of entity status certificates issued by the State Corporation Commission.
